SUMMARY:Walkathon Against Domestic Violence
DESCRIPTION:Walkathon Against Domestic Violence!\nDid you know that on average\, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States? In one year\, this equates to more than 10 million men and women. \nIn just about one day in the state of New Jersey\, Domestic Violence programs provide services related to domestic violence to more than 1\,200 survivors. Within a day\, programs receive about 300 requests that oftentimes can not be met due to the lack of resources. Let’s start making a change one donation at a time and by supporting this walkathon and it’s organization mission. \nCARC’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault program is a culturally specific provider for the state of New Jersey. The program specializes in providing bilingual accessible services to families in need\, in a holistic approach wile demonstrating cultural humility\, empathy\, and compassion. The Rockit Live Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help develop\, nurture\, and inspire young musicians to reach their full artistic potential through music education offered in partnership with Brookdale Community College in Lincroft\, NJ. The foundation’s defining focus is outreach\, music education\, scholarships\, and to reach all aspiring artists at every level of economic status. The Rockit Academy have performed such classics as Dark Side of the Moon\, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band\, Woodstock\, Who’s Next and many more.
