DESCRIPTION:After months of rehearsal\, it’s time for Lakehouse bands to rock the stage! We’re bringing 5 days and 80 bands to the Arthur Pryor Bandshell at the AP Rooftop\, overlooking the iconic Asbury Park boardwalk and beach. Each day features a packed schedule with bands performing throughout the day and into the evening. Plus\, this is a free\, all-ages show!\nWhat is the Big Gig?\nThe Big Gig is a live performance event that takes place at the end of every semester. After months of rehearsal\, students from our Get Started\, Core\, and Adult Night Sessions jam out some of their favorite tunes on stage. \nWho is Lakehouse Music Academy?\nLakehouse Music Academy (LhMA) is a progressive music school\, located in Asbury Park and Red Bank\, NJ\, featuring group rehearsals\, individual lessons\, and live performances at Asbury Park’s world-famous music venues. DESCRIPTION:Brilliantly innovative\, heartbreaking and wickedly funny\, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is the landmark musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask that has what Time Magazine proclaimed as “the most exciting rock score written for the theatre since\, oh\, ever!” This genre-bending\, musical sensation\, with a pulsing score and electrifying performances\, stars rock and soul sensation Remember Jones. HEDWIG was originally staged Off Broadway in 1998 and later revived on Broadway to win the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival in 2014. This production is in collaboration with the Asbury Park Theater Company.

Aligning together in 2016\, the lineup of Alex Bailey (drums\, vocals)\, Jake Brownstein (guitar\, vocals)\, Mike Goodman (bass\, vocals) and Dani Battat (keys\, vocals) has captured the ears of listeners across the USA and beyond.\nFollowing the release of their 2019 debut record\, Watercolor Days\, the band has toured constantly\, performing in over 40 states. Amidst their travels in 2021\, Eggy stopped in Nashville to record two singles\, released as Nashville Tapes the following year.
