Choose from a variety of design patterns that we will transfer onto your wood\, then learn the basics of wood burning and how to use different mark-making techniques to bring it to life. \nWe’ll cover: \n\nHow to safely use a wood-burning pen\nBasic mark-making techniques\, including lines\, shading\, and texture\nHow to transfer a design pattern onto wood\nHow to finish and care for your board\n\nYou’ll leave with a completed serving board that’s totally your own. SUMMARY:Little Makers Mondays at the Asbury Art Club 👦🏽
DESCRIPTION:Start the week by making something together. Little Makers Monday is a special art experience created for children ages 4–7 and their grown-ups. \nEach Monday\, families will explore a new project designed especially for young artists. A certified art educator will introduce the materials and guide children and caregivers as they paint\, build\, collage\, experiment\, and create side by side. \nCome anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and plan to spend approximately 1–2 hours creating together. \n$35 for one child and their grown-up\n$22 for each additional child \nAll materials are included. This is a shared family experience rather than a drop-off class. Every child must attend with a participating parent\, guardian\, or caregiver. \nEach Little Makers Monday features a special project developed for young children. Our certified art educators will introduce the project\, demonstrate the materials\, and provide support throughout the experience. Children are encouraged to make their own creative choices\, while their grown-ups help\, participate\, and create alongside them.

DESCRIPTION:Sunlight Photography Without a Camera Experience one of the earliest photographic printing processes by creating beautiful cyanotype prints using sunlight. Students will arrange flowers\, leaves\, lace\, feathers\, botanical specimens\, and other interesting objects onto light-sensitive cyanotype paper to produce striking blue-and-white silhouettes. This workshop combines science\, photography\, and printmaking into a fun and accessible creative experience suitable for all skill levels. \nStudents will learn: \n\nThe history of cyanotype printing\nComposition techniques\nCreating layered silhouettes\nExposure using natural sunlight\nWashing and developing prints\nTips for preserving finished artwork\n\nEvery participant will complete several unique prints to take home. \nDuration: 2 Hrs
