For far too many youth in our community\, financial barriers and shrinking school arts programs silence that potential before it ever gets the chance to begin. \nThe Asbury Park Music Foundation (APMF) amplifies opportunities for under-resourced youth through high impact music education programs\, developing life skills and building community. \nWe believe a lack of financial resources should never mean a lack of opportunity. That is why we provide premier music education\, band experiences\, and specialized in-school and after-school programs to over 500 under-resourced youth every year. \nAs demand for our programs grows\, so does our resolve to say “YES” to every child who wants to play. DESCRIPTION:The Rockit Academy is New Jersey’s #1 Live Music Education school for young musicians. The Rockit Live Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help develop\, nurture\, and inspire young musicians to reach their full artistic potential through music education offered in partnership with Brookdale Community College in Lincroft\, NJ. The foundation’s defining focus is outreach\, music education\, scholarships\, and to reach all aspiring artists at every level of economic status. The Rockit Academy have performed such classics as Dark Side of the Moon\, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band\, Woodstock\, Who’s Next and many more. Rockit Advisory Board members\, Stevie & Maureen Van Zandt\, Eddie Brigati\, Carmine Appice\, Ricky Byrd\, Rich Russo\, Mark Weiss and Steve Lacey lend their talent and support to a cause they keep close to their hearts. Since its inception\, Rockit has worked with more than 1\,700 young musicians\, performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artists\, starred on network TV\, and assisted in leading students to the most prestigious music colleges in the United States.
