SUMMARY:God Street Wine at the Wonder Bar
DESCRIPTION:An Evening with God Street Wine \nDoors 7:00 pm\nShowtime 8:00pm \nFormed in 1988 by Lo Faber\, Aaron Maxwell\, Dan Pifer\, Jon Bevo\, and Tom Osander\, God Street Wine played a prominent role in the early jam band scene alongside fellow New Yorkers Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors. Veterans of the HORDE Tour as well as runs with The Allman Brothers\, Bruce Hornsby and The Black Crowes\, they also released 5 albums and performed more than 1\,000 shows across the United States in their first decade together.\nIn 1999 the band split up after playing a three night farewell engagement at the Wetlands Preserve in NYC. Selected performances from these final shows were compiled into the posthumous live album “Good To the Last Drop”.\nAfter almost a decade apart\, GSW reunited privately in 2009 to honor the passing of an old friend and a year later played four concerts in NYC benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Infrequent but memorable gatherings continued at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios\, Sweetwater Music Hall\, rambles with Phil Lesh at Terrapin Crossroads and Jam Cruise. In 2013 they released a 25th anniversary box set retrospective and the documentary film All The Way To Here. Several years later the band ‑ now spread out across the globe in New York\, New Orleans and Berlin ‑ started collaborating on new studio tracks which led to eight new single releases in 2017-18 and the full length album This Fine Town in 2019.\nAfter eight shows in summer 2019\, other projects and commitments brought the band to another hiatus – a break that ended up longer than expected due to the Covid pandemic. After four years apart\, GSW got together again in 2023 with two New York area shows to benefit MS4MS (Mission Stadiums for Multiple Sclerosis).\n2024 brought more activity for GSW! On top of marking the 30th anniversary of the band’s 1st major label release\, $1.99 Romances\, and digitally releasing the long-lost Hot Sweet & Juicy\, the band is also releasing 3 albums from their catalog (Bag\, $1.99 Romances\, Hot Sweet & Juicy) on vinyl for the first time. This will all culminate with the original fivesome performing together again with four New York area shows! \n21 and up \nDoors 7:00 PM\nShow 8:00 PM \n$39.50 advance / $45.00 day of show (plus applicable service charges)

SUMMARY:Sandy Mack's Wonder Jam at the Wonder Bar
DESCRIPTION:Sandy Mack’s Wonder Jam\nfeaturing Sandy Mack & Friends \nSandy Mack leads a stellar rotating house band for two long sets of classic rock\, jam and blues with plenty of good ol’ Grateful Dead! Doors art 5 and live music starts at 6 with special guest openers and surprise guest musicians. \nTo Jersey Shore music fans\, he is an ambassador of everything good about our music scene whose presence is familiar as a favorite club or neighborhood watering hole. To his fellow music makers\, he’s the go-to man for all manner of sessions and sitting-in situations — a blues harp ace who can stake out harmonious common ground with acoustic old-schoolers\, supercharged ax slingers\, roots rockers and alt-Americana songsmiths alike. Or\, as local radio linchpin Rich Robinson said\, “he could sit in with anybody like he’s played with them forever.” \nNote: The Wonder Bar opens at noon on Sundays with NFL Ticket. Rock out to your favorite teams all day and Sandy Mack in the evening! \n21+ admitted\n$10 in advance plus applicable surcharges\, $10 at the door

SUMMARY:The Menzingers on The Stone Pony Summer Stage
DESCRIPTION:At this point\, the Menzingers are an absolute institution. The Philadelphia punk legends’ multi-decade reputation as road warriors with an unbeatable catalog is cemented as hard truth—and their seventh album\, Some Of It Was True\, stands as their most immediate-sounding and energetic record to date. The follow-up to 2019’s sensational Hello Exile accomplishes the daunting task of capturing the Menzingers’ distinctive live energy in the confines of the studio\, resulting in a sound that’s both rich\, raw\, and complementary to the group’s increasingly prismatic songwriting approach. More than 15 years in\, the Menzingers are still holding their listeners square in the immediate present.

SUMMARY:MELVINS REDD KROSS Stop Your Whining Tour USA 2025 at the Stone Pony
DESCRIPTION:MELVINS\nREDD KROSS\nStop Your Whining Tour USA 2025 \nThe Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 in Montesano\, Washington\, the group – founded by vocalist/guitarist Buzz Osborne\, with drummer Dale Crover joining a year later – has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music\, forming a new subgenre all their own. Over their 40-plus-year career\, they’ve released more than 30 original albums\, numerous live records\, and far too many to count singles and rarities. Recent releases include 2024’s Tarantula Heart\, a good collection of what the Melvins do\, what they can do and what they want to do\, and Five Legged Dog (2021)\, an ambitious 36-track acoustic collection that reimagines their heaviest songs alongside covers of their favorite artists. Throughout their discography\, the Melvins have collaborated with Jello Biafra\, Mudhoney\, and Fantômas for individual releases and toured the world many times over. Remarkably\, they had the misfortune to be in both Christchurch and Tokyo for their 2011 earthquakes. In 2012\, the Melvins completed the “51 States in 51 Days” (50 states +DC) tour\, which was chronicled in the film “Across The USA in 51 Days.” The current incarnation of the band is Osborne\, Crover\, and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross). Previous lineups included a pairing of Osborne and Crover with Jared Warren and Coady Willis of Big Business\, a four-piece featuring the current trio plus Jeff Pinkus\, as well as Melvins Lite\, which partners Osborne and Crover with Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn.

SUMMARY:The Raveonettes + Shallowater at the Wonder Bar
DESCRIPTION:The Raveonettes\nwith Shallowater \nThe Raveonettes are back in black.\nTwenty years after the release of their sublime album Pretty In Black\, Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner are returning to the road for a celebration of the 2005 classic. The project marked the point where the Danish duo dialed back the guitar whiplash of 2002’s Whip It On mini-album and the full-length follow-up Chain Gang of Love\, in favor of letting their classic song-writing chops take the lead.\nIt worked like a charm\, yielding 13 shimmering vintage-pop beauties such as “Here Comes Mary\,” “Twilight\,” and the eternal band staple “Love in a Trashcan.” It was a new direction that\, upon the album’s release in May 2005\, attracted Rave reviews from NME\, Alternative Press\, Uncut\, and inspired David Fricke of Rolling Stone to describe it as “history on the march.”\n“That period in the band’s life was wonderful\,” remembers Wagner. “We got to collaborate with so many legendary people like Mo Tucker from the Velvet Underground\, Martin Rev from Suicide and the great Ronnie Spector on ‘Ode to LA’. We still love that album and the fans still ask us to play songs from it all the time. So the 2025 fall tour is the perfect time to do it!”\nThe mid-00s were a time when Sharin and Sune were inescapable\, and at the forefront of music culture. The first ideas for the Pretty In Black album began to take shape when the band were on a US tour with the Strokes\, just as the post-punk revival of the era was taking flight\, and afterparties still took place away from smartphones. “I don’t know if we can call it the era of indie-sleaze because we were both on major label’s at that point\,” says Foo. “But we could get pretty sleazy when we wanted to! I still have some risqué polaroids of us partying with Julian Casablancas and Albert Hammond Jr\, somewhere! I see so much discussion and fascination with those years. The books and documentaries. I can understand why. It was a fun era to be a part of.”\nPretty In Black didn’t just have critical fans\, it attracted praise from none other than Dave Gahan and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode\, who personally invited the band to tour with them later in the year and into 2006. “I used to watch Depeche Mode in stadiums growing up\,” says Wagner. “So to actually be sharing a stage with them was truly vindicating for The Raveonettes. They treated us so well\, and they couldn’t say enough nice things about Pretty In Black. Martin even joined us on stage for an unforgettable rendition of the album’s opener The Heavens. We’re still friends with Martin and Dave\, to this day.”\nPretty In Black isn’t the only part of the The Raveonettes catalog that is coming back into view. Their 2010 cover of The Stone Roses’ swaggering anthem “I Wanna Be Adored” went viral on social media during 2024 (around the time of their last US tour). It became a popular sound for video creators on TikTok and has quickly become one of their most streamed songs on DSPs. “We couldn’t plan for that obviously\, but that dreamy\, shoe-gazing sound has become a thing again\,” says Foo. “We’ve always had those influences and it really came out in the Stone Roses cover we did. During a day off on our last tour\, I was sitting in a coffee shop next to a college age girl on her phone. She was watching TikTok videos and one of them had that cover as the audio. I’ve heard Raveonettes songs on the radio before\, but that was a new experience!”\nBut Sharin and Sune aren’t letting their greatest hits do all the talking in 2025. There’s also the small matter of the April 25th release of Pe’ahi II: a roaring sequel to their surf-inspired 2014 album Pe’ahi. “It follows the same themes of fragility of life\, death\, longing and\, not least\, vulnerability\,” says Wagner.\nWhile serving as an ode to Pretty In Black\, the fall 2025 tour will also serve as a teaser to a completely new\, twelfth studio album which the duo are planning to work on throughout the year. “I’m proud of our history and I’m happy to see so much interest in what we did with our musical peers in those days\,” remembers Wagner. “But I can’t live in the past\, either. I wanna make sure that in 20 years\, someone is celebrating the anniversary of what we’re doing now!” \n21+ admitted \n$25 in advance plus applicable fees\, $30 at the door
