Since the arrival of her critically celebrated full-debut Expectations (a 2020 LP that earned her an Emerging Artist of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association)\, the Georgia-bred singer/songwriter/guitarist has assembled an acclaimed body of work exploring questions both existential and intimate (e.g.\, identity\, self-acceptance\, the quiet courage of living truthfully). On her new album Fools for the Fleeting\, the Nashville-based musician reckons with the impermanence inherent to being human\, shifting between poetic observation and confessional storytelling as she confronts such complex matters as ecological anxiety\, love’s intrinsic fragility\, and the profound isolation normalized by our increasingly digitized existence. \nHer third full-length and follow-up to 2024’s Mantras\, Fools for the Fleeting emerged from Pruitt’s vision of creating an album that feels “rooted to the earth”—a concept closely tied to the LP’s underlying theme of nature as a mirror for our inner lives. A prime showcase for her warm and soulful voice\, the 10-song set centers on a powerful yet intentional form of Americana/indie-rock\, steeped in acoustic instrumentation and the beautifully imperfect friction of live performance\, courtesy of musicians like Juan Solorzano (a guitarist known for his work with Ruston Kelly and Parker Millsap) and Aksel Coe (a drummer who’s played with Ella Langley and Sierra Ferrell). DESCRIPTION:MAGENTA WAVE\nNeighbour Andy \nMagenta Wave is a rock band based in Seattle\, Washington. \nAfter forming in the city of Bellingham in 2022\, the group quickly progressed from running their own house-shows to performing at established local venues such as The Wild Buffalo and the Blue Room. \nRenowned for emotionally charged vocal melodies and evocative guitar solos\, the band’s sound continues to develop as they write relentlessly in the garage of their shared home. \nRelocating to Seattle in the fall of 2023\, the group hit the ground running\, and recently cemented their name as a staple in the scene with a sold out EP release show at The Tractor Tavern. \nSince the release of their debut single in early 2024\, the band has amassed more than 2 million streams to date. DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration in Asbury Park is officially scheduled for Saturday\, November 7th\, 2026. This lively\, oceanfront cultural event honors the rich traditions of the Day of the Dead right on the historic boardwalk. The walk serves as a colorful procession to remember and honor the lives of loved ones who have passed. The evening features traditional Mariachi music\, a live DJ\, and vibrant singing and dancing along the waterfront. Attendees are invited to participate in the tradition by viewing or “bringing offerings to the ofrenda\, a traditional altar to honor the deceased.” \n\n\nFace Painting: Professional makeup artists will be available on-site beginning early at 2:00 PM to help attendees get into traditional attire ($10).\n\n\n\n\nContests: Prizes will be awarded for the most creative attire and makeup.\nDate: Saturday\, November 7\, 2026\n\n\n\n\nTime: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Face painting starts at 2:00 PM)\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Starts at Asbury Park Convention Hall (1300 Ocean Ave N) and concludes at the Asbury Park Casino (700 Ocean Ave N).\n\n\n\n\nCost: Free and open to the public.\n\n\n\n\nAtmosphere: This is a fully family-friendly and dog-friendly event\, so pets are welcome to join the walk.
