SUMMARY:Cut Worms
DESCRIPTION:Cut Worms \nThe car windows are down\, the air is warm\, and the possibilities are boundless. On Cut Worms\, the new self-titled album from Brooklyn-based Max Clarke\, the singer-songwriter and musician continues his exploration of what he calls “pop essentialism.” Mining the golden hits of yesteryear for a timeless double A-side sound\, he contemplates age-old questions through a modern lens. Here\, he leaves behind the legendary studio and sought-after producers for a more homegrown approach\, working with a cast of gifted friends and collaborators. The result is a compact collection of daydream anthems that live between the summer’s hopeful beginnings and the season’s fleeting end. \nAs opposed to recording the entire album in one chunk at one studio\, Clarke varied his methods. Three of the songs were cut from start to finish in his shared rehearsal space. “Don’t Fade Out” and Living Inside” were recorded in Brooklyn by Brian and Michael D’Addario of the Lemon Twigs\, who also played piano and bass\, respectively\, on these two songs. Further basic tracking was done by Rick Spataro (of indie folk band Florist) at his Hudson Valley studio\, Onlyness Analog\, with contributions from the long standing Cut Worms live band – keyboardist John Andrews\, bassist Keven Louis Lareau\, and drummer Noah Bond (who played on all three sessions).

DESCRIPTION:Crystal Ship\nA Renaissance of the Doors\nwith special guest\nColossal Street Jam \nIn the early ’80s\, there was a band that dominated the club scene like no other. In the heyday of the Jersey circuit\, their record of prominence over all the other bands on the scene was unchallenged. The band was called Crystal Ship\, and their show\, called “Renaissance Of The Doors”\, packed clubs and theaters up and down the East Coast. \nThe band had their beginnings in the late 70s\, before tribute bands even existed with singer Joe Tag. They succeeded at capturing that spirit beyond all expectations. When they sold out their first self-promoted shows\, agents and clubs soon came running. Six months to the day of that first show\, Crystal Ship sold out the Capitol Theater in Passaic\, the first of three times the band would accomplish that feat. Soon the band was breaking attendance records at all the biggest clubs on the East Coast\, as well as performing regularly at concert venues such as the Capital Theater\, the Tower Theater in Philadelphia\, and the Paradise Theater in Boston. The Crystal Ship sails on into 2023 with all the guster and rock ‘n’ roll glory from the Heyday or the legendary and unparalleled DOORS. \nThe Mystery\, The Spirit and The Magic of a Doors concert comes alive again. Join us on Friday\, September 15th from 6-10 to celebrate art from the artists of the Wooden Walls Project.\nThe Carousel Art House is part gallery space\, part artist residency space and a constant source of inspiration to all those that visit. We are grateful to be able to bring this sacred space to life with art and experience.\nThe Wooden Walls Project connects the local arts community with the national and international art movement to bring art to people in the streets\, where it is freely accessible to all. A motivating principle of Wooden Walls is that by providing access to an intimate art experience to people who may not otherwise have access to art; Wooden Walls enriches both the lives of individuals and artists and creates a new generation of artists and art enthusiasts.
