SUMMARY:Sound Healing with Carolan -Yoga with Love
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, July 25th\, 2024 – 6:30p\, $35 \nSound Healing dates as far back as Ancient Egypt and its benefits range from deep relaxation to cellular repair. The harmonic sounds and vibrations stimulate the beta\, alpha\, theta\, delta\, and gamma brain waves\, inducing a deep\, peaceful state or meditation. Sound Healing is the use of sounds and these vibrations which can be a combination of various instruments; crystal singing bowls\, gongs\, Tibetan singing bowls\, tuning forks and the power of your own voice. \nThere are seven energy centers called chakras that we work with. The idea is that when all of our chakras are open\, and balanced energy can run through them freely\, then we can allow harmony to exist between the physical body\, mind\, and spirit. \nSome of the benefits of this workshop; include a reduction of stress and anxiety\, strengthening of the immune system\, improved sleep\, a calmer and more peaceful state of being\, tension release\, clearing blocked energy and rebalancing our energy centers creates \nWHAT TO EXPECT.. \nOur class will begin with breath and body awareness to help center and ground the body. Toning of the 7 sacred chakra vowels will be introduced along with the matching vibrational sounds of the quartz crystal bowls to help align\, open and balance each of our 7 chakra energy centers. We will then take ourselves down into a reclined meditative position for deeper self-reflection and a continued bath of healing

SUMMARY:The Ries Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Nectar’s presents ASBURY JAMS \nTHE RIES BROTHERS \nThe Ries Brothers (pronounced ”Rees”)\, a duo from St Petersburg\, FL\, blend rock\, blues\, jam\, funk\, and reggae into a soulful-sophisticated sound. Older brother Charlie (27) sings lead vocals while simultaneously playing drums and keyboard bass giving the band its unique and full sound. Younger brother Kevin Jordan (24) completes the band’s “sonic creativity” on guitar\, ukulele\, and melodica\, and provides background vocals. The band started playing the Florida bar circuit as young teenagers where they were discovered by the band Chicago and taken out on two regional tours prompting them to leave school and focus on music full-time. \nThe Brother’s inimitable live performances have captured fans across the musical landscape leading to marquee support slots and major festival bookings. After Supporting aG Love & Special Sauce tour in 2018\, G Love asked the brothers to tour as his backing band and open his solo tour. They repeated that feat again in 2019.”In between\, the brothers completed their own headline tours in addition to supporting major artists like Stick Figure\, Pepper\, Galactic\, and Stephen Marley311(invited to perform on the 311 cruise the next day after opening for them)\, They have played major festivals: Okeechobee Music Fest\, Sunfest CaliRoots\, Gasparilla\, and Summer Camp. And a second run with Iration\, plus numerous festivals. Making the best of their time off \,they recorded remote collaboration videos with members of “The Lumineers” “Gary Clark Jr. ”Steve Miller Band” and “Iration.” \nIn March of 2023 released “Your Friday Night” which is a Dancy Blues Rock track\, following “Corner Store” leaning more to Rock and Blues\, Spotify editorial added the track to #4 on “Modern Blues Rock” In August they released their self-titled EP produced by Gary Clark’s original Drummer and Engineer. The EP which also featured a Collab with G Love & Cas Haley”.Spotify Editorial added this #1 on “Nu Blues”. Previously they released in July of 2021\,a song with Iration\, which hit 100k streams in a couple days. This was a follow up to their reggae remix of their song “Take It Back” featuring Julian Marley\, Bumpin Uglies\, E.NYoung\, Gary Dread)\, Kash’d Out\, Little Stranger\, and Jaime Hinckson. Their mix was of a track from their second full-length album\, “Paint Your Emotion\,” produced by John Agnello (ScreamingTrees\, Dinosaur JR\,) which was released on CSSL/Megaforce Records in 2020 This record leaned towards alternative rock\, A live recording of their Sugar Shack Sessions was released on Sugar Shack/Ineffable Records as the label’s first-ever release. \n21+ \nDoors: 7 pm\nShowtime: 8 pm

SUMMARY:Rootsapalooza
DESCRIPTION:ROOTSAPALOOZA\nRoad to Roots featuring Melody Trucks\, Matt O’Ree Band\, Des & The Swagmatics\, Ryan Gregg & Friends \nRoad to Roots featuring Melody Trucks \nBringing the magic of Roots Rock Revival to the road that goes on forever. Melody Trucks has taken the vision of her Dad’s (Butch Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band) Music Masters camp\, Roots Rock Revival\, and moved it to the road. She is a percussionist and vocalist who is partnering with young musicians and is mentoring them in the ways of the music industry\, while giving them a larger stage to showcase their talents. Melody has a deep understanding of how the music industry can underestimate the talents of the young. Road to Roots showcases these musicians with a mixture of music from her own musical history and her family’s legacy\, while also letting them present their own original voices. \nMatt O’Ree Band \nFormer guitarist for Bon Jovi\, NY/NJ Blues Hall of Fame inductee\, and crowned King Of The Blues by BB King himself\, Matt O’Ree has been a driving force in the blues/rock music scene for the last twenty years. Garnering the attention of artists like Bruce Springsteen\, David Bryan (Bon Jovi)\, Steve Cropper (Booker T & the MG’s)\, John Popper (Blues Traveler)\, Bernie Worell (P-Funk)\, and Hubert Sumlin (Howlin Wolf)\, all of whom had volunteered to perform on the band’s album\, Brotherhood. The newest addition to the band\, Eryn\, an accomplished artist and songwriter in her own right\, won awards such as the BELK Southern Musician Blues Showcase beating out thousands of competitors. She is the youngest artist to be inducted into the NJ/NY Blues Hall of Fame and has performed or opened for artists such as Don McLean\, Gregg Allman\, Johnny Winter\, Robert Cray\, Dr. John\, Shemekia Copeland\, The Gin Blossoms\, Little River Band\, Marcia Ball\, Walter Wolfman Washington\, Eric Lindell\, Sonny Landreth\, The Radiators\, Johnny A and so many more. Combined this landed her a gig singing backup vocals with the Smashing Pumpkins on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Matt and Eryn joined forces about 3 years ago and began defining an original vintage-style rock n’ roll sound. They began touring nationally and internationally to rave fan reviews\, oh yeah\, and not to mention they are also married. Coined NJ’s favorite rock power couple\, they and the band take their fans on a ride that hasn’t been heard or seen at this level since the ’70s. Their live show is like revisiting a Zeppelin concert at the Garden\, and with Lex Lehman’s smooth soulful bass\, John Hummel’s Bonham-esque drums\, and Eryn and Layonne’s angelic and gutsy lead and backing vocals\, combined with Matt’s blistering guitar\, Matt and company have built a foundation that can hold up the biggest house on the block. \nRyan Gregg \nRed Bank native Ryan Gregg in his own words: Trying to make as much cool stuff with as many cool people as I can. Collaboration over competition. We all rise together. Have written and produced songs for puppets\, cartoons\, and humans on occasion. Work featured on Comedy Central\, PBS and more. Pleasure to have shared the stage on piano\, keys\, and organ with Eric Lindell\, Dana Fuchs\, J.T. Bowen\, Roosevelt Collier\, Oteil Burbridge\, The Lee Boys\, Scott Sharrard\, “Stormin” Norman Seldin\, The Ocean Avenue Stompers\, Melody Trucks\, Soul Project Nola\, Uncle Scotchy & Juke\, Des & the Swagmatics\, Jet Weston & the Atomic Ranch Hands\, Matt O’Ree\, Arlan Feiles\, The Black Flamingos\, The Billy Walton Band\, and many others. Always down for a conversation. Let’s hang. \nDes and the Swagmatics \nDes and the Swagmatics is an Asbury Park based five-piece band on a mission to get your booty shakin’ by any means necessary! Reborn from the glorious ashes of a storied one-off Prince tribute on Halloween 2014\, Des and the Swagmatics pack a sexy blend of R&B\, rock\, soul\, funk and pop sounds in a way guaranteed to make you dance so hard you’ll pull something if you don’t stretch first! \nDoors 7:30 pm\nShowtime 8:00pm \n21 and up
