SUMMARY:LaMP
DESCRIPTION:LaMP \nDoors 7pm\nShow 8pm \nAdvance: $22.50\nDay of Show: $25.00 \nLaMP (Lawton\, Metzger & Paczkowski) \nOn a magical night at Nectar’s in Burlington\, VT in Dec of 2018\, three musical masters (Russ Lawton\, Scott Metzger & Ray Paczkowski) came together with alchemical synthesis\, and created a fresh so-tight-it’s-free sound\, packed with technical prowess and a deep-pocket punch. The packed house fortunate enough to be in attendance that night witnessed the birth of something very special. \nThe following spring\, the trio took the name LaMP by combining the first letters of each members’ surname\, and reconvened back in VT at Sugarhouse Soundworks for an intense recording session with Roger Stauss to lay down tracks that would become their eponymous debut EP. \n“We wrote everything via the internet. We figured out telecommuting and working from home before it was fashionable [laughs]. We’d usually start with Russ sending around a drumbeat he was working on\, then Ray and I would put down ideas and we’d send them back and forth\, editing everything as we went along. When we finally found some time to record\, I drove up to Vermont\, we took a day to flush everything out and rehearse\, then spent two days recording.” – Scott Metzger \nMetzger\, known as “…an ace guitarist of a thousand styles.” (Village Voice) and a full-time member of the critically acclaimed Joe Russo’s Almost Dead tested the decades-strong synergy of Ray & Russ forged from their time playing with Trey Anastasio Band and their duo project Soule Monde. The result was seven tracks crackling with energy and soul. The melodic & harmonic interplay between Paczkowski’s swirling organ and clavinet dancing with Metzger’s acrobatic melodies on telecaster\, driven by Russ “It’s all about the rudiments.” Lawton’s unflappable backbeat produced a record that will stand the test of time. \n21 and up admitted

SUMMARY:Marky Ramone’s Holiday Blitzkrieg
DESCRIPTION:Marky Ramone’s Holiday Blitzkrieg\nDoing the Hits \nMarky Ramone is best known for the 15 years he spent drumming for\nthe legendary Ramones. Prior to joining the Ramones\, Marky played\nwith an array of influential musicians dating back to his high school\nyears when he was a member of the Brooklyn based hard rock band\,\nDust. Recording two albums with his friends\, Richie Wise (guitar and\nvocals) and Kenny Aaronson (bass) for Neil Bogart’s Karma\nSutra/Buddha label.\nWhile Dust was disbanding\, Marky began hanging out at Max’s Kansas\nCity\, where he met Max’s house D.J. Wayne County. He joined forces\nwith Wayne to form Wayne County and The Backstreet Boys. Wayne’s\noutrageous stage performance and cross-dressing attracted many fans\nand help solidify a cult following. After a year and a half of playing in\nthe New York area and not able to generate record company interest\,\nthey decided it was best to move on.\nIn 1976\, Marky was introduced to Richard Hell. Along with Bob Quine\nand Ivan Julian\, they formed Richard Hell & the Voidoids. The Voidoids\nreleased their groundbreaking debut album in 1977 on Sire Records\,\nentitled “Blank Generation”. Shortly after the Voidoids historic U.K.\ntour with The Clash\, Marky found himself at the bar at CBGB with Dee\nDee Ramone. Dee Dee asked him if he would be interested in joining\nThe Ramones.\nThe spring of 1978\, Marky joined the Ramones. In a matter of weeks\nhe was in the studio recording his first album with The Ramones\nentitled\, “Road to Ruin”\, which features one of the biggest Ramones\nsongs “I Wanna Be Sedated”. The following year the Ramones filmed\nthe cult classic “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School”. Later that year\, they joined\nforces with producer legend\, Phil Spector to record “End Of The\nCentury”.\nAfter several tours and a two more studio albums\, Marky was asked to\nleave the band 1983\, only to rejoin his band mates in 1987 until they\ndecided to call it quits in 1996. His tenure with the Ramones spanned\na total of 15 years. Performing over 1700 shows and more than 15\nreleases\, including songwriting credits on both Mondo Bizarro and\nAdios Amigos\, the bands farewell release.\nIn 2000\, Marky reunited with long time friend Joey Ramone for Joey’s\nsolo effort “Don’t Worry About Me”. In 2001\, Marky along with his\nformer band mates (Johnny\, Dee Dee and Tommy)\, were inducted into\nthe Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame. That same year\, U2’s Bono presented\nthe Ramones with the MTV’s Lifetime Achievement Award.\nThe DVD release\, “Raw”\, a compilation of mostly home videos filmed\npredominantly by Marky was release in 2004 and entered the Billboard\nvideo chart at number 5. Certified gold in three countries and currently\nthe best selling Ramones DVD release to date.\nIn the spring of 2009\, Marky launched a capsule collection clothing line\nwith Hilfiger Denim. In 2010\, Marky shared his recipe for pasta sauce\nby introducing Marky Ramone’s Brooklyn’s Own Pasta Sauce.\nIn February 2010 The Ramones received a Grammy Lifetime\nAchievement Award. It was the first Grammy for the punk rock\npioneers.\nIn early 2010 Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg with Michale Graves released\ntheir first single “When We Were Angels” with former member of Sheer\nTerror\, Mark Neuman\, playing bass and guitar.\nWith no signs of slowing down\, Marky Ramone continues to tour the\nworld with his band\, Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg\, featuring various lead\nvocalists including Andrew W.K. and Michale Graves.\nMarky is currently in his eighth year as a D.J. on SiriusXM Satelldite\nRadio hosing “Marky Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkrieg”. Marky has also\nappeared on numerous TV shows including The Simpsons\, Anthony\nBourdain’s No Reservations and ZRock.

SUMMARY:Dogs in a Pile
DESCRIPTION:Dogs in a Pile – Happy Howlidays 2023 \nThe Dogs return for the annual holiday shows! \nDoors 7:00\, Show 8:00 to 11:30\nDogs VIP Packages available please visit:\nhttp://www.dogsinapileofficial.com/tour\nThe Stone Pony is proud to present Dogs in a Pile. The band hails from the Jersey Shore and Asbury Park. After non-stop national touring in 2023 the band has firmly established itself as one of the hottest new national breakout jambands!\nDogs in a Pile is the culmination of a love of music born from the deepest American roots of psychedelia\, jazz\, fusion\, funk\, traditional\, and rock & roll. Sprung from the rich Asbury Park music scene in New Jersey\, their serendipitous convergence has made for the kind of kindred intuition its members had only once dreamed of. Described as “listening to a single moving organism\,” the sum of its five parts represents an original journey into the peaks and valleys of psychedelic improvisation\, all while remaining reminiscent of so much we love of life and music. \nThe final iteration of “the Dogs” began with University of the Arts Philadelphia student and Asbury Park veteran Jimmy Law\, along with his long-time friend Joe Babick\, a 4 year veteran of the gifted young musician’s program at the nationally renowned Count Basie Theater in Red Bank\, NJ. Lightning struck when they were introduced to Berklee School of Music student and bass player Sam Lucid\, who immediately suggested fellow Berklee student and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Kaplan. The addition of fellow Berklee student and collaborator Brian Murray \n“The Dogs commonality and love for improvisation by way of bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish\, as well as a fervent inclination for the study of jazz\, fusion and classical music has helped shape the free-flowing style that is the Dogs. Their unique synergy and joy in creating “music as an atmosphere” equates simply to\, as the band would say\, “spreading good music and good energy to good people.” Happy Howlidaze! Bring on the Dog Pound!
