DESCRIPTION:Vista Kicks \nPERSONS AGE 21+ ONLY ADMITTED \nVista Kicks is a rock and roll band from Roseville\, California. \nThe band released their debut album ‘Booty Shakers Ball’ in 2017 followed by ‘Twenty Something Nightmare’ in 2018\, produced by the band and Joe Napolitano. The albums are steeped in the band’s rock and roll\, soul\, jazz\, folk influences. With numerous American and west coast tours under their belt\, the band has also played headline appearances at The Teregram and El Rey Theatre in LA\, and festival appearances at KAABOO Del Mar (US)\, SXSW (US)\, All Points East (UK)\, and Camden Rocks (UK). They have supported The Kooks\, Bad Suns and Milky Chance\, as well as opening for The Rolling Stones at Levi’s Stadium\, Santa Clara. 2019 saw the band tour major cities all over the UK\, plus a huge support slot in Hyde Park for Bob Dylan and Neil Young. In 2020\, Vista Kicks released Chateau Mae Mae – a collaborative album with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Audra Mae. The band have recently finished recording their latest EP set for release in early 2022.

DESCRIPTION:The Melvins\nWe Are The Asteroid \nThe Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 Montesano\, Washington\, the group founded by singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne (with stalwart drummer Dale Crover joining the following year)\, has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music\, forming a new subgenre all its own. Over the band’s nearly 40-year history\, they’ve released over 30 original albums\, numerous live full-lengths and far too many to count singles and rarities. Most recently they released the 36-track acoustic collection Five Legged Dog\, featuring reinterpretations of some of their heaviest songs as well as covers from their favorite artists. In the course of their discography\, they’ve partnered with Jello Biafra\, Mudhoney\, and Fantômas for individual releases and toured the world many times over. In fact\, the band had the misfortune to be in both Christchurch and Tokyo for their 2011 earthquakes. In 2012\, the Melvins completed the “51 States in 51 Days” (50 states +DC) tour\, which was chronicled in the film “Across The USA in 51 Days.” The current incarnation of the band is Osborne\, Crover\, and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross/OFF!). Previous line-ups include a pairing of Osborne and Crover with Big Business band members Jared Warren and Coady Willis\, a four-piece featuring the current trio plus Butthole Surfers’ Jeff Pinkus\, as well as Melvins Lite\, which partners Osborne and Crover with Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn. Sometimes\, if you’re extra lucky\, one version of the Melvins will open for the Melvins.

DESCRIPTION:CATE LE BON \nPompeii\, Cate Le Bon’s sixth full-length studio album and the follow up to 2019’s Mercury-nominated Reward\, bears a storied title summoning apocalypse\, but the metaphor eclipses any “dissection of immediacy\,” says Le Bon. Not to downplay her nod to disorientation induced by double catastrophe — global pandemic plus climate emergency’s colliding eco-traumas resonate all too eerily. “What would be your last gesture?” she asks. But just as Vesuvius remains active\, Pompeii reaches past the current crises to tap into what Le Bon calls “an economy of time warp” where life roils\, bubbles\, wrinkles\, melts\, hardens\, and reconfigures unpredictably\, like lava—or sound\, rather. Like she says in the opener\, “Dirt on the Bed\,” Sound doesn’t go away / In habitual silence / It reinvents the surface / Of everything you touch. \nPompeii is sonically minimal in parts\, and its lyrics jog between self-reflection and direct address. Vulnerability\, although “obscured\,” challenges Le Bon’s tendencies towards irony. Written primarily on bass and composed entirely alone in an “uninterrupted vacuum\,” Le Bon plays every instrument (except drums and saxophones) and recorded the album largely by herself with long-term collaborator and co-producer Samur Khouja in Cardiff\, Wales. Enforced time and space pushed boundaries\, leading to an even more extreme version of Le Bon’s studio process – as exits were sealed\, she granted herself “permission to annihilate identity.” “Assumptions were destroyed\, and nothing was rejected” as her punk assessments of existence emerged.
