DESCRIPTION:deSoL\nBenefit for The Sato Project \nNOTE: This is an all-ages show! \ndeSoL is a multi cultural brotherhood from Asbury Park\, NJ whose music mixes rock hooks with fiery Latin rhythms sung in English\, Spanish & “Spanglish.” The result is a musical stew where the individual styles of the six musicians combine to create a sound that keeps audiences on their feet. \ndeSoL’s infectious and relatable live show is a physical and spiritual experience. \nFormed in the early 2000s\, they spent 10 years honing their live show in front of audiences across the US. Then\, on the strength of two AA hit singles “Karma” and Sing It All Night” they became a fixture on the festival circuit and scored support slots for several bands including Los Lonely Boys\, The Legendary Wailers\, Widespread Panic and REM. After a a break to focus on family\, the pandemic hit. The band recently reunited to write and record a crop of new songs and perform again in select east coast venues. \nTheir music and message has remained upbeat and positive and appeals to listeners of all ages and backgrounds. \ndeSoL: of the sun\, for the people… \nPartial proceeds to benefit The Sato Project. For additional information please see mission statement below and visit: thesatoproject.org \nThe Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500\,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food\, fresh water\, or veterinary care\, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed\, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate\, we are their only hope. \nNOTE: This is an all-ages show!

But it’s the ever-evolving relationships between her closest friends and bandmates that has propelled the Hudson Valley-based artist onto her new album And Southern Star––a truly collaborative effort that ruminates on the choices we make\, and the people we always come back to. \nDavis earned her degree in harp performance at the Crane School of Music\, and has molded her classical music training to create an original and genre-bending catalog that weaves together 60s pop-soaked melodies\, psychedelia and driving folk rock.
