DESCRIPTION:Join our one time class to learn the basics of handbuilding! All participants must be at least 6 years old\, and accompanied by an adult if they are younger than 10 years old. \nThere is a $20.00 fee if you would like to keep what you throw. We will then finish and glaze your piece with a color of your choosing\, and your piece will be ready for pick up 4 weeks after your class. We will notify you when your piece is finished\, and we will hold your piece for 1 month after its completion before donating it. Please note that you must clean your wheel and area thoroughly at the end of class. \nThe kiln is an unpredictable place\, and occasionally pieces may not successfully make it through both firings intact. If this happens\, we will work with you to find a fair solution. DESCRIPTION:Our one-time Grown Up & Me wheel classes are 90 minutes long. This is a great way for adults & children to learn the basics of pottery while also getting a feel for the wheel in a casual\, relaxed environment. \nChildren must be at least 7 years old‍\, and no older than 17 years old ‍to participate.Children younger than 7 can register for one of our Grown Up & Me (Handbuilding) classes. Registration must be made for both adult and child participants. \nAll tools are included for these classes. \nCancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of your class for a refund. 24 hours is required to reschedule. All cancellation and/ or rescheduling requests must be made via email to longbranch@blueskiespottery.com. \nWe ask that you please arrive 5 minutes early. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late\, it is up to the studio’s discretion whether we will honor your reservation. Late arrivals will not be rescheduled.

He spent 15 years as a core member of the Jerry Garcia Band\, joining in 1980 and helping define its soulful\, genre-blending style. With his deep roots in gospel\, blues\, and R&B\, Seals brought a warmth and groove that gave the band its unmistakable feel\, locking in with Garcia night after night and elevating the music with rich textures and expressive improvisation. \nAfter Garcia’s passing in 1995\, Seals stepped naturally into the role of bandleader\, forming Melvin Seals & JGB and continuing to carry that music forward. Rather than treating it as a tribute\, he’s kept it alive—stretching it\, reshaping it\, and bringing his own voice into the mix while staying true to the spirit of the original band. \nDecades into his career\, Seals is still out on the road\, delivering high-energy shows that pull from the same well of soul\, spontaneity\, and connection that made the Jerry Garcia Band so special. His playing isn’t just part of that legacy—it’s one of the reasons it still resonates today.

SUMMARY:Adult One-Time Introductory Classes
DESCRIPTION:Join our one time class to learn the basics of handbuilding! All participants must be at least 6 years old\, and accompanied by an adult if they are younger than 10 years old. \nThere is a $20.00 fee if you would like to keep what you throw. We will then finish and glaze your piece with a color of your choosing\, and your piece will be ready for pick up 4 weeks after your class. We will notify you when your piece is finished\, and we will hold your piece for 1 month after its completion before donating it. Please note that you must clean your wheel and area thoroughly at the end of class. \nThe kiln is an unpredictable place\, and occasionally pieces may not successfully make it through both firings intact. If this happens\, we will work with you to find a fair solution.
