We are a non-profit organization celebrating 35 years of service in providing shelter\, support and services for homeless and vulnerable youth throughout the region. \nThis festive and celebratory event will be held outdoors at the John F. Peto Studio in Island Heights with art displayed throughout the beautiful grounds. The Studio Museum features the home and studio of John Frederick Peto (1854-1907) an important late nineteenth century figure in the trompe l’oeil style of American still life painting. This historic building is a precious gem in our community and a perfect host https://petomuseum.org/ to celebrate and support our kids. \nThis annual event features art created by our kids as part of the art therapy program. Guests can bid on the kid’s art plus art donated by local artists. \nHonorees for the evening are Judi and Stephan Leone. Judi served on the Ocean’s Harbor House Board of Directors and has been an ardent supporter of our mission. Stephen is a founding partner of Carluccio\, Leone\, Dimon\, Doyle & Sacks\, LLC and has served in various capacities of civic and professional organizations.\nProceeds help to provide vitally-needed shelter\, services and programs for homeless and vulnerable kids in Monmouth & Ocean counties.

DESCRIPTION:The Asbury Park African-American Music Project is pleased to announce that the Dorian Parreott Jazz Quintet will join us for the Vintage Turf Club Show: A Celebration of Springwood Ave. with Live Music at the Turf. \nExtraordinary musician\, educator\, mentor and instrument repair expert\, Mr. Dorian Parreott is a man of many talents and an Asbury Park music legend. Born and raised in Asbury Park\, Dorian began singing in the children’s choir. He started the CuBops and played in talent shows\, the Apollo Theater and auditioned on the Ted Mack Show. While playing with the CuBops\, he started to move towards the saxophone as his main instrument. He attended North Carolina Central and majored in music. While in North Carolina\, Parreott played in a band that performed around North Carolina. After returning to New Jersey\, Parreott worked in instrument repair and taught music at Asbury Park High School for 23 years before becoming a professor at Kean University. Dorian is President of Local 399 American Federation of Musicians and served as president of the New Jersey Music Teachers’ Association.
