DESCRIPTION:The Community Preparedness Team at the American Red Cross NJ Region Disaster Cycle Services aims to educate the public with essential information and resources to be better prepared for natural disasters and weather emergencies. Our mission\, B Shore to Prepare\, will focus on providing preparedness information for emergencies specific to New Jersey including: extreme heat\, water safety including rip currents\, hurricanes\, and thunderstorms\, while visiting boardwalks along the Jersey Shore. To educate the community\, we will table along your boardwalk with bags filled with both educational and branded materials including; whistles\, sunscreen\, first aid kits\, and lip balm. This initiative will interact with the community and educate them on the importance of preparedness during the summer season.

SUMMARY:Sound Healing with Carolan -Yoga with Love
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, July 25th\, 2024 – 6:30p\, $35 \nSound Healing dates as far back as Ancient Egypt and its benefits range from deep relaxation to cellular repair.  The harmonic sounds and vibrations stimulate the beta\, alpha\, theta\, delta\, and gamma brain waves\, inducing a deep\, peaceful state or meditation. Sound Healing is the use of sounds and these vibrations which can be a combination of various instruments; crystal singing bowls\, gongs\, Tibetan singing bowls\, tuning forks and the power of your own voice.  \nThere are seven energy centers called chakras that we work with. The idea is that when all of our chakras are open\, and balanced energy can run through them freely\, then we can allow harmony to exist between the physical body\, mind\, and spirit. \nSome of the benefits of this workshop; include a reduction of stress and anxiety\, strengthening of the immune system\, improved sleep\, a calmer and more peaceful state of being\, tension release\, clearing blocked energy and rebalancing our energy centers creates \nWHAT TO EXPECT.. \nOur class will begin with breath and body awareness to help center and ground the body. Toning of the 7 sacred chakra vowels will be introduced along with the matching vibrational sounds of the quartz crystal bowls to help align\, open and balance each of our 7 chakra energy centers.  We will then take ourselves down into a reclined meditative position for deeper self-reflection and a continued bath of healing
