SUMMARY:AIDS Memorial Quilt on Display at Paradise
DESCRIPTION:The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a massive\, ever-growing memorial to victims of the AIDS epidemic\, made of nearly 50\,000 3-by-6-foot fabric panels\, each representing a life lost. Created in 1987\, it is the world’s largest community arts project\, aiming to commemorate lives\, raise awareness\, and advocate for change by humanizing the statistics of the AIDS crisis. Each panel serves as a memorial to one or more individuals\, with over 110\,000 names stitched into its 54 tons of fabric.\nPlease visit the Paradise on Sunday\, November 30th from 1pm – 7pm.
