SUMMARY:Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
DESCRIPTION:Ted Leo and the Pharmacists\nShake The Sheets 20th Anniversary\nwith Ekko Astral \nTed Leo is a unique artist for these times. He provides a near perfect combination of politics\, art\, punk values and humor in his songwriting and the combination is resonating with people all over the world. Having toiled for years in the punk underground with both his former band Chisel and his solo effort Ted Leo/Pharmacists\, 2004 is definitely the year Ted Leo is primed to break out into the mainstream. \nIn February 2003\, Lookout Records released the critically acclaimed “Hearts Of Oak\,” a gem of a record that received accolades from Spin\, Rolling Stone\, Magnet\, the New York Times\, MTV. Touring and promotion in support of “Hearts” was massive and included 5 US tours\, a run in Japan and the UK and an appearance on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien.” A brief respite from touring was required mid-way through his second US run\, when his vocal chords became enflamed due to the rigorous schedule of radio station visits\, in store performances and nightly gigs. Ted began a new regimen of vocal warm ups\, fewer shows in a row and a dram less Irish Whisky and found his voice to be stronger than ever. \nIn early 2004\, in between some short tours\, Ted began to write his fourth solo album. Motivated to keep pushing himself as a songwriter\, performer and cultural critic\, he shut himself in the basement of his childhood home in New Jersey and began to write. The songs that resulted in “Shake The Sheets” are fresh\, smart\, and passionate. Producer Chris Shaw proved to be the perfect partner for Ted and his sonic vision for the album. Well known for his work in producing the last 2 Bob Dylan albums\, Shaw has also worked on many other diverse projects\, from Dashboard Confessional\, to Bell Biv De Voe to the classic Public Enemy album\, “It Takes a Nation Of Millions to Hold Us Back.” \nTed Leo is an artist who is well poised for a career with no limits. He will continue to write pop rock gems and work hard on the road to connect with his fans who continue to grow with him as he connects with more and more people. Do not be surprised if in 25 years you are dusting off your album jackets and along with Joe Jackson\, Nick Lowe\, Paul Weller you throw on Ted Leo to change your mood for the day.

SUMMARY:Will Evans + Bermuda Search Party
DESCRIPTION:Nectar’s presents ASBURY JAMS \nWILL EVANS \nWill Evans pulls everyone into his embrace. He musically accesses a space without boundaries where all are welcome to commune openly and move freely. Through quotable folk-inspired lyrics\, breezy grooves\, and roots energy\, it’s as if he’s giving you permission to be that pure self you can’t always be at work or even at home… \nThe Rhode Island-based singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist also puts his words into action via his “Kind Folk” fan community\, activating small acts of kindness\, charity\, and goodwill in tandem with performances nationwide. After generating over 50 million streams independently\, he inspires once again through a series of 2024 releases and much more to come. \n“I want to make music that moves you\,” he states. “It’s rooted in compassion\, kindness\, and community. With anything I release\, there’s a lot of passion behind it. I’m always giving you the most authentic version of myself.” \nBuzzing out of the East Coast\, he has consistently engaged and enraptured a fervent audience. By rotating between acoustic guitar\, didgeridoo\, handpan\, percussive beatboxing\, and more\, he has developed a living and breathing signature sound of his own. Following Wishin’ Well [2013] and Signal Flares [2015]\, he reached a creative tipping point on Rise [2018]. Beyond collaborations with Trevor Hall\, Mihali\, and Paul Izak\, it yielded the fan favorites “Adam & Eve”\, “Rise” and “Hoka Hey” with over 5 million streams and counting. The album notably garnered three nominations at the New England Music Awards. 2023 saw him share After The Burnt Out Sun. Met with critical acclaim\, “a sophisticated collection\,” Seven Days professed\, “the record showcases Evans’ multi-instrumentalist prowess.” Between selling out shows across the United States and Europe\, he has graced bills alongside Crosby & Nash\, Grace Potter\, Bruce Hornsby\, Michael Franti & Spearhead\, Trevor Hall\, and Railroad Earth\, to name a few. Meanwhile\, “Kind Folk” has supported philanthropic organizations\, including Surfrider Foundation\, Operation Warm\, Do It For The Love Foundation\, Always Home\, and more. Their campaigns have ranged from beach cleanups\, clothing and food drives and benefits for land trust organizations. \nAll the while\, he continually pushes himself sonically. \nBERMUDA SEARCH PARTY \nUnapologetically energetic\, uplifting and with a live show that has been described as a “celebration of life”\, Bermuda Search Party (FKA The Q-Tip Bandits) have emerged as a vibrant act that continues to touch audience’s hearts while getting them up on their feet. \nAfter meeting in college and cutting their teeth in the Boston DIY music scene\, the band recorded and released their self-produced debut LP\, Melancholy Flowers\, in 2022. Dynamic yet intimate\, Melancholy Flowers features the vocal stylings and songwriting of both guitarist Leo Son and bassist Claire Davis\, and smooth and soaring trumpet and trombone from Maclin Tucker and Hoyt Parquet. The band toured in support of the record throughout the year\, culminating in four Boston Music Awards nominations\, for Live and Pop Act of the Year\, Song of the Year for “Daisy\,” and Album of the Year. \nSince then\, the band has played hundreds of stages across the country\, making their way from coast to coast and hitting festivals along the way including Boston Calling\, Levitate Music Festival\, SXSW\, and Treefort Music Festival\, before returning to the studio in September 2023 with producer Eric Palmquist (half•alive\, Tate McRae\, Bad Suns\, Hunny) to record their much anticipated sophomore album. \n21+ \nDoors: 7 pm\nShowtime: 8 pm

SUMMARY:Glenn Alexander & Shadowland
DESCRIPTION:Glenn Alexander & Shadowland\nfeaturing the Asbury Jukes Horns & Oria \nGlenn Alexander is best known as lead guitarist of New Jersey’s famed Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes\, his other band \nGlenn will be joined on stage at the WB by his daughter Oria and the Jukes horn section: Chris Anderson\, John Isley and Neal Pawley. This show will feature some Shadowland originals a few Jukes tunes\, and lots of Glenn’s upbeat signature bluesy roots rock ‘n’ roll to keep the party Jukin’ all night! \n“Alexander himself is a bit of a shadowy phantom. Raised on southern rock and midwest blues\, he’s studied jazz and progressive rock and plays the six-string like a feral beast … Shadowland (the album) has flavors of Memphis\, Chicago\, Jersey City\, all in the mix. It’s blues rock\, but then again not. It’s Southern rock\, but then again more. It’s rock and roll\, slathered in funky soul with a machine-gun guitar at its forefront. It’s Glenn Alexander and company at their very best\, and it absolutely should be in your collection.” J.D. Nash – American Blues Scene \nDoors 8:00 pm\nShowtime 8:30pm \n21 and up
