SUMMARY:Circles Around the Sun
DESCRIPTION:Circles Around the Sun X Mikaela Davis and Southern Star \nCircles Around the Sun \nLos Angeles-based instrumental supergroup Circles Around the Sun is a contemporary instrumental rock band\, initially formed with the purpose of creating music for “Fare Thee Well”\, a series of reunion concerts played by the surviving members of the Grateful Dead. Those shows celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary and served as their official send-off\, while Circles Around the Sun was designed to reflect the Dead’s overall spacy and groove-laden feel. After the tour\, the group released a self-titled album from the Fare Thee Well gigs\, supporting the record with their own road trip. The response was so positive that they continued on with a follow-up project\, Let It Wander\, in 2018. This record was less influenced by the Dead and more free-form\, delivering on the roots influence of jazz-funk\, soul\, and fusion. The band underwent a fundamental transition in 2019. After completing the Meets Joe Russo EP and a third album\, their guitarist Neal Casal committed suicide on August 26\, 2019. He left his bandmates a note asking for them to continue in his absence– to continue recording\, touring\, and playing together. The band decided to carry on with a rotating cast of guitarists\, landing on John Lee Shannon as the permanent replacement. \nIn this metamorphosis\, Circles Around the Sun spans both heartbreak and hope. Doors close; windows open; new directions extend themselves in mysterious ways. But sometimes you know it’s real from the first beat. It just clicks. It’s just how Neal would want it. It’s Circles Around The Sun. \nMikaela Davis & Southern Star \nFive years since her debut album Delivery\, Mikaela Davis has moved away from her hometown of Rochester\, shared the stage with the likes of Bob Weir\, Phil Lesh\, Christian McBride\, Bon Iver\, Lake Street Dive and Circles Around the Sun and entered a new decade. But it’s the ever-evolving relationships between her closest friends and bandmates that has propelled the Hudson Valley-based artist onto her new album And Southern Star—a truly collaborative effort that ruminates on the choices we make\, and the people we always come back to.

SUMMARY:Tramps Like Us
DESCRIPTION:Tramps Like Us\nThe Nation’s #1 Springsteen Tribute \nDoor 7:00 Show 8:00 to 11:30\nJoin us for a night celebrating the music of Bruce Springsteen. This show will be a retrospective of Bruce’s catalog\, from Greetings to the latest fan favorites. Two-set show starts early at 8 pm.\nTramps Like Us brings 30 years of road-tested musicianship that has won this band the hard-earned distinction of the planet’s most revered Bruce Springsteen tribute band. Given high praise by dozens of publications\, radio stations\, music industry personnel\, former manager Mike Appel and the official Springsteen radio station\, E Street Radio on SiriusXM. \nFormed in 1990\, Tramps Like Us has performed more than 2\,000 concerts and have rocked more than a million fans. Featuring rockers and ballads delivered with the raw intensity and swagger reminiscent of the Boss himself\, Tramps features a lineup of seasoned and professional musicians with a repertoire of more than 140 songs. \nThe group captures the classic Springsteen sound and remains true to the spirit and energy of the music\, while delivering it with the passion and conviction of the Boss. Unlike other “tribute” bands who attempt to impersonate or emulate their source in every respect\, from looks to clothing to gestures\, Tramps Like Us concentrates on the music itself. Find out for yourself why E Street Radio says\, “If you’re a big Bruce fan\, you’ve probably seen tribute bands … and the best of them all is Tramps Like Us.”

SUMMARY:Dogs in a Pile
DESCRIPTION:Dogs in a Pile – Happy Howlidays 2023 \nThe Dogs return for the annual holiday shows! \nDoors 7:00\, Show 8:00 to 11:30\nDogs VIP Packages available please visit:\nhttp://www.dogsinapileofficial.com/tour\nThe Stone Pony is proud to present Dogs in a Pile. The band hails from the Jersey Shore and Asbury Park. After non-stop national touring in 2023 the band has firmly established itself as one of the hottest new national breakout jambands!\nDogs in a Pile is the culmination of a love of music born from the deepest American roots of psychedelia\, jazz\, fusion\, funk\, traditional\, and rock & roll. Sprung from the rich Asbury Park music scene in New Jersey\, their serendipitous convergence has made for the kind of kindred intuition its members had only once dreamed of. Described as “listening to a single moving organism\,” the sum of its five parts represents an original journey into the peaks and valleys of psychedelic improvisation\, all while remaining reminiscent of so much we love of life and music. \nThe final iteration of “the Dogs” began with University of the Arts Philadelphia student and Asbury Park veteran Jimmy Law\, along with his long-time friend Joe Babick\, a 4 year veteran of the gifted young musician’s program at the nationally renowned Count Basie Theater in Red Bank\, NJ. Lightning struck when they were introduced to Berklee School of Music student and bass player Sam Lucid\, who immediately suggested fellow Berklee student and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Kaplan. The addition of fellow Berklee student and collaborator Brian Murray \n“The Dogs commonality and love for improvisation by way of bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish\, as well as a fervent inclination for the study of jazz\, fusion and classical music has helped shape the free-flowing style that is the Dogs. Their unique synergy and joy in creating “music as an atmosphere” equates simply to\, as the band would say\, “spreading good music and good energy to good people.” Happy Howlidaze! Bring on the Dog Pound!
