The 4th Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration in Asbury Park is officially scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, 2026. This lively, oceanfront cultural event honors the rich traditions of the Day of the Dead right on the historic boardwalk. The walk serves as a colorful procession to remember and honor the lives of loved ones who have passed. The evening features traditional Mariachi music, a live DJ, and vibrant singing and dancing along the waterfront. Attendees are invited to participate in the tradition by viewing or “bringing offerings to the ofrenda, a traditional altar to honor the deceased.”
- Face Painting: Professional makeup artists will be available on-site beginning early at 2:00 PM to help attendees get into traditional attire ($10).
- Contests: Prizes will be awarded for the most creative attire and makeup.
