An Evening with CHRIS PINNELLA
Familiar Hits + New Takes: Reimagined with a 15-Piece Orchestra
DOORS OPEN AT 6pm, SHOW STARTS AT 7:30pm
This August join powerhouse vocalist Chris Pinnella as he returns to Tim McLoone’s Supper Club with a brand new night of music! Featuring, for the first time in 3 years, Pinnella’s full 15-Piece Orchestra complete with 3 phenomenal backup vocalists and one very special guest singer to be announced soon!
The night will feature fresh new arrangements of both familiar classics and new hits by iconic artists and songwriters along with the debut of several originals.
“This evening of music is the most true to who I am as a singer, songwriter and artist. I’m thrilled to be presenting this night (finally) in the way I’ve always intended it to be with the full 15-Piece Orchestra,” Pinnella says.
Songs in the set vary from intimate to down right cinematic. From the high energy, Herbie Hancock inspired, ‘Machine’ or roof raising, gospel twinged ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ to epic duet versions of ‘The Prayer’, and James Bay’s ‘Running’.
Others, like Pinnella’s stripped down version of Springsteen’s ‘If I Should Fall Behind’ begins a-cappella, in four part harmony and features each of his 3 supremely talented back-up singers in all their vocal glory. Not to mention his intimate versions of Neil Young’s ‘After The Gold Rush’ and Guns n’ Roses ‘Sweet Child Of Mine’ are simply breathtaking.
Standouts like Billy Joel’s ‘And So It Goes’ which utilizes only string quartet and voice is hauntingly sublime and the singer’s interpretation of the Leonard Cohen classic ‘Hallelujah’ brings the audience to their feet. Other artists on the bill for the evening include Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Webb, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, The Righteous Brothers, and yes, Led Zeppelin.
USA Today says, “Pinnella has managed to unify a diverse catalogue of music and beautifully make it his own.” Grab your tickets early for this one night only performance!
“Pinnella has been compared to vocal superstars Josh Groban and Michael Buble, but there is no doubt about the fact that Pinnella has a style that is completely his own. His strikingly rich baritone and stage charisma is unmatched.” (TICKETMASTER)
“Pinnella possesses a soaring rich baritone voice that just leaves you speechless. With his amazing orchestra, he takes each song into majestic territory.” (NEW YORK TIMES)
