art629 presents: UNCENSORED

On Nov 21 and 22 from 6-8 pm, art629 will host “UNCENSORED” responding to the growing climate of censorship and cultural suppression in the United States. The exhibit features work and performances by local artists addressing themes of silencing, political and patriarchal control, and the erasure of marginalized voices.

The event includes:

Interactive Wall of Freedom- an open space where visitors can write what they are afraid to say on our gallery walls.

Visual Artworks- exploring censorship, control, identity, and personal expression by local artists

Poetry Readings- by spoken word artists reading banned poetry and their own poems rooted in free expression.
