The Community Preparedness Team at the American Red Cross NJ Region Disaster Cycle Services aims to educate the public with essential information and resources to be better prepared for natural disasters and weather emergencies. Our mission, B Shore to Prepare, will focus on providing preparedness information for emergencies specific to New Jersey including: extreme heat, water safety including rip currents, hurricanes, and thunderstorms, while visiting boardwalks along the Jersey Shore. To educate the community, we will table along your boardwalk with bags filled with both educational and branded materials including; whistles, sunscreen, first aid kits, and lip balm. This initiative will interact with the community and educate them on the importance of preparedness during the summer season.
