Foundations of Creative Oil Painting at Over the Moon Art Studio
Starts October 7th – November 11th
Every Wednesdays 6-8pm
Explore the foundations of creativity while learning the fundamentals of oil painting in this guided oils class. Using surrealist techniques as inspiration, you’ll create work that blends realistic features with unexpected dreamlike imagery, symbolic objects, and creative backgrounds.
The class begins with a demonstration covering composition, color mixing, proportions, and techniques for painting with oils. You’ll then develop your own unique art piece with individualized instruction throughout the sessions. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a completed or nearly completed oil painting and the confidence to continue exploring this expressive style.
