The Jerry Go Round, with Brian Murray from Dogs in a Pile on guitar, is a celebration of Jerry Garcia’s music and all the bands he performed with from 1970 to 1995.
The unique aspect of the band is the concept of using a different “Jerry” for every performance. With so many talented guitarists influenced by Garcia, this brings a different and special one of kind experience for the audience every night!
Jerry Garcia’s solo career is often overlooked by many bands of late and listeners too. From Kahn’s Reconstruction to Old and in the Way, Merl and Jerry to Legion of Mary, JGB electric and acoustic bands to even some Grateful Dead sprinkled in, the song possibilities are vast. The Jerry Go Round formula allows for incredible guest players to step away from their current projects for an evening and pour their heart and soul into bringing you their take on any number of songs from Garcia’s immense catalog.
