The 8th annual “What A Wonderful Year” (WAWY) music festival returns to Asbury Park’s Wonder Bar on December 27 and 28, featuring 20 of the region’s top and emerging local artists, split over the 2 nights and alternating between 2 stages. Produced by local label Telegraph Hill Records, the event promises back-to-back live performances from 7 PM to 12:30 AM each night. Dubbed “Asbury Park’s Annual Party,” the festival offers an unforgettable experience with a diverse lineup that spans indie rock, soul, hip hop, folk, alternative, and more. Respected as the city’s most diverse festival, the event brings together performers who live in or perform regularly in the city, including those with lifelong roots in Asbury Park.
The artist lineup on December 27 includes Emerson Woolf & the Wishbones, Surfing for Daisy, The Extensions, Blush, Great Oblivion, Ryan Gregg, Matty Carlock, The dt’s, Alors Alors, and Sophie Swanson. The night will be hosted by Matt Daniels and Doctor Lotto. Tickets are on sale now. A two-night pass is just $45 through December 26. Single-night tickets are $26 through December 22 and $30 during the week of the show. Tickets are available at the Stone Pony Box Office and Ticketmaster.com.
Proceeds benefit the Asbury Park Music Foundation and Rockit Academy, both dedicated to impacting lives through youth music education.
