ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

Teen Arts NJ, formerly known as the Arts & Education Center is a 501 c(3) non profit organization established in 1969.  Recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education for innovative arts programming, our organization founded the Arts High program which provides unparalleled learning opportunities for gifted artistic students by providing instruction from a renowned artist in their genre. We also sponsor and organize the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival - a three-day celebration of the Teen Arts complete with performances, workshops, and live adjudication of student artistic talent.

TANJ Youth Arts Initiative – TEEN ARTS NJ

The TANJ Youth Arts Initiative centers on students and families, providing them with literary, visual, and performing arts opportunities, through a wide variety of after-school and summertime programs. Teen Arts NJ is partnering with organizations and businesses across the city to activate their spaces and stimulate the local economy through monthly arts pop-up programs, ranging from visual arts classes and writing workshops to open-mic nights and more.

Enjoy monthly art pop-up events from March 2026 through September 2026. We will end our art pop-up series with a 2-day festival celebration in October 2026!

This programming was made possible through the generous support of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) under Phase II of the Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (A.R.T.) program in partnership with The New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
